Easy, Luxurious, Semi-affordable Bedroom Decor

Buying my first house has been... a roller coaster of emotions, to say the least. The amount of responsibility, and therefore stress, that comes with owning a home was something I was not prepared for. But with the bad, comes the good - and my bedroom is one of my favorite places in my new home, and I have the receipts to help you make your space a dream bedroom too!

The vibes are: cozy, luxurious, effortless.

The color scheme: black, green, gold.

Textures: wood, fringe, velvet, smooth metal/satin.

Let's get into it -

Green Velvet Blackout Curtains: LINK

These aren't the cheapest curtains, but d*mn they are glorious. Total blackout, elevates the space. I love. Hang them as high up on the ceiling as you can to make your room appear taller.

Square Design Black Window Curtain Rod: LINK

Easy, slick, and look more expensive than they are. If you are on a budget though, skip these. The curtain covers most of the rod anyway. Seriously, nobody will notice a cheaper model.

Green Velvet Wingback Chairs: LINK

Listen, ya girl is not rich like that, so I got these second hand on Facebook Marketplace, which I highly recommend. But they are 100% a vibe.

Luxury white faux fur rug: LINK

Wake up in luxury! Really just added a sense of richness to the room. Mixing textures is a must in any space and this was the perfect size. It does trap dirt in the hairs, but easy to vacuum, and I suggest not walking on it with shoes, and keeping the floor around it clean.

Open wood and metal shelves: LINK

Storage is a must and these days products are so beautiful and aesthetic, why not show them off! I have one for my morning routine creams and another for my perfumes. I use them all over the house actually: game room, bedroom, bathroom. You'll need a drill to install, but they go up easy and the bar at the bottom is removable.

Green and gold velvet vanity stool with storage: LINK

Adorable. Lightweight. You'll probably need to put some sliders on the feet depending on your floor type, because the base is a plastic piece.

Gold replacement handles for furniture: LINK

Never underestimate how much a new handle can elevate a piece of furniture. These came in a 10 pack and I plan to add them to my IKEA Malm collection dresser and side table. I think it will make them look a little more expensive and tie some more gold into the room.

Gold metal two-tiered side table: LINK

Unfortunately the exact table I have isn't available right now, but this one is super close. Very lightweight, ties into the chairs and handles. Perfect for my journals and a few flowers. This table is more expensive than it should be but it fit so perfectly I bought it anyway. It's not a must, but it works.

White fringe duvet cover: LINK

The reason hotel sheets are white is so you can "see" how clean they are. It gives you a sense of confidence about your safety. At home, it brings a sense of cleanliness to the space. My room is almost never as clean as I want it to be, that's life, but at least the biggest thing in the room will always be fresh and clean. Plus a bit of texture never hurts.

Sage green and fringe duvet cover: LINK

My back up duvet cover is this beautiful sage green number that matches the velvet pillow cases (below) and pulls in the green elements but still keeps the clean aesthetic. (P.S - Duvet covers are the way to go - easy to clean, replace, and elevate your space, a quarter of the storage space necessary from a full comforter, and great because my mood and colors I like changes every 5 seconds.)

Deep pocket white sheet set: LINK

My time in hospitality will stay with me forever. White sheets feel clean and expensive in a room. And this brand from Amazon is a favorite - deep pockets for my thick mattress, affordable and durable. I have these same sheets in a few different colors.

Deep pocket emerald green sheet set: LINK

Another brand that's affordable with deep pockets and great colors. Goes with any of my pillows or duvet covers. Keep your colors consistent and interchangeable.

"Be Our Guest" throw pillow cover: LINK

Live your Beauty & the Beast dreams. I planned to put this is the guest room, but it's so cute I kept it for my own room. No ragrets.

Velvet and tassel throw pillow covers: LINK

Obsessed. Ties in with the dark green velvet drapes and bedding, but adds a pop of color and brightens the space. Soft and easy to clean and remove.

"Call Me Old Fashioned" throw pillow cover: LINK

Classic in every way. Adding some neutral elements to the room - I have this on one of my wingback chairs - is important to break up the space especially with such a rich color and texture like green velvet and gold.

Small ceramic booty vase: LINK

Do I even need to explain? It's so cute and feminine and powerful. I bought three body shape vases to remind me every day to love my body as it is.

Small ceramic body vase: LINK

Love a curvaceous lady reminding me that all shapes are beautiful. Small, delicate, and perfect decor.

Faux roses that look real and last forever: LINK

Like how roses look but hate the price and how quickly they die? I love these. (Pro tip: use them for Mother's Day and Valentine's Day gifts). They last for so long, look real, and don't need water or anything. They do not smell good up close, but it doesn't radiate in the air or anything. I put them in a clear acrylic tray from Target from the bathroom section. Dainty, pretty, and elegant.

Your bedroom should be a safe, comfortable space. Maybe some of these items can make you feel that way, maybe you just need a day to clean with no distractions. Either way, I hope you have sweet dreams tonight!
